Gardaí issue fresh warning after vehicle break-ins

GARDAI in Mayo have issued a fresh warning to public not to leave valuables in their vehicles.

It follows a number break-ins to cars at the weekend

On Saturday evening, while its owner went for a walk at Belleek Woods in Ballina, the back passenger window of a car was broken and a handbag stolen.

Another handbag was stolen from a car which was left unlocked at Keem Beach in Achill.

A garda spokesperson cautioned against leaving valuables in parked vehicles within sight of unscrupulous individuals.
