Passing of retired Castlebar garda officer

THE death has occurred of Brendan McManamon, Rossow, Kilmeena, Westport.

The deceased served as a member of An Garda Siochana in Castlebar for most of his career and was held in high regard in the town.

He is deeply regretted by his wife Anne, family Colm, Clíodhna and Odharnait, grandchildren Daniel, Odhrán, sister Mary Higgins, brother Phelim, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

His remains will be reposing in Navin's Funeral Home, Westport, this evening (Tuesday) from 5 o'clock with removal at 6.30 o'clock to St. Brendan's Church, Kilmeena.

Requiem Mass takes place on Wednesday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Moyna Cemetery.
