Nephin Rose 2017 bids to be Mayo Rose 2018

MAYO ROSE CONTESTANT NO. 5: AMY TRAYNOR, CROSSMOLINA

 

AMY Traynor is 21 and hails from Crossmolina.

She won the Nephin Rose in 2017 and represented the Thatch Bar, Crossmolina, where she worked for a year.

Said Amy “Winning the Nephin Rose was an amazing experience and really built up my confidence. I now work in Moy Ridge Nursing Home in Ballina it’s such a rewaring job caring for all the residents.

“ I love singing Country and Western songs to the residents and putting a smile on all their faces. I love working in the Moy Ridge Nursing Home. It’s a lovely place to work in and it’s so full of life.

“My hobbies are singing, dancing and playing football. In 2016 I was named student of the year in Gortnor Abbey Secondary School, which was a very proud moment and a great achievement in my life.

“I want to say huge thank you to Crossmolina Community Festival for all their support throughout the year as being the nephin rose it’s a great community to live in."
