Passing of much-loved west Mayo personality

THE death has taken place of Miriam Fadden (née Chambers), Hollyhill, Castlebar, and late of George's Street, Newport.

A member of a much-loved and respected west Mayo family, she was predeceased by her husband Liam.

Miriam is survived by her sons Billy and Johnny, daughter Emer, brother Frank, a former Mayo County Councillor and senator, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

The deceased was an accomplished vocalist who performed regularly at church ceremonies and other events over the years.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Her remains will be reposing at her residence on Friday from 4 to 7.30 p.m., with removal on Saturday at 1 p.m. to St. Patrick's Church, Ballyheane for Requiem Mass at 2 p.m.

Burial takes afterwards in Ballyheane Cemetery.
