Last few tickets for Sunday's big GAA game selling fast
THERE still some tickets available for next Sunday's much awaited Connacht senior football quarterfinal clash between Mayo and Galway in Elverys MacHale Park, Castlebar.
However, the tickets are selling fast and those still wishing to go to the game should waste no further time in trying to obtain one.
Connaught GAA secretary John Prenty told The Connaught Telegraph this evening that they have a few stand tickets left but he expects them to sell fast.
Said Mr. Prenty: “There were stand tickets put aside for both Sligo and Leitrim supporters in case any of their junior teams qualified for the Connacht junior championship final which will be played before the senior game at 1.30 p.m. However, with both teams now not involved in the junior decider those tickets are on sale now. But I expect them to sell fast.”
With regard to other tickets in the ground there is also still a number available. But again these are selling fast. Indeed, up to Thursday there was over 25,000 tickets sold for the game.
With the ground capacity of 28,000 for this game, it is very likely this encounter will be a sell out.
Mr. Prenty continued: “With the steady sale of tickets we are expecting the game to be a sell out. We will review the ticket sales on Saturday. It only then we will know if there will be any tickets left for sale on Sunday. But my advice to those wishing to go to the game and have not got a ticket yet should do so immediately.”
