Funeral arrangements for Mayo man who died tragically in hiking accident in France
THE funeral arrangements have been announced for John Quinn, Tupelo, Sarnaught, Castlebar, who died tragically last Saturday in a hiking accident in the Vosges mountains in Alsace, France.
John's remains will be reposing at his family home in Sarnaught, Castlebar, on Saturday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Removal will take place from his residence on Sunday at 1.30 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar to arrive at 2.15 p.m. for Funeral Mass at 3 p.m.
Burial takes place afterwards in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
John is survived by his wife Mary, his three children Darragh, Fionnuala and Nicholas, his mother May (Waterford), sisters Denise, Jacqueline and Jillian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, work colleagues and wide circle of hill walking and scuba diving friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
