Gardaí probe robbery at Parochial House property in Islandeady

GARDAÍ in west Mayo are investigating a robbery at the Parochial House in Islandeady.

A shed on the property was broken into and garden machinery worth several hundred euros was stolen.

The stolen items included a Honda lawnmower, a Stihl strimmer and a Stihl leaf blower.

Thieves gained access to the shed by breaking a lock on the door.

Members of the close-knit  community were disappointed and angry when they learned of the robbery.

Anybody who noticed suspicious activity at the location are asked to contact Castlebar Garda Station.
