BARQ to reimagine the Pulp Fiction soundtrack
BARQ - a high energy four-piece shoving groove into the belly of the rock-beast and creating 'agrosoul' - will reimagine the iconic sountrack of Pulp Fiction live in Garbo's at Mayo Leisure Point, Castlebar.
Tonight's (Friday, June 22) gig is part of the Smithwick's Soundtract Series, and BARQ'S show starts at 11 p.m. Doors open at 9 p.m., with €10 gaining you both entry and a complimentary pint of Smithwick's (Blonde, Pale or Red Ale). For more see smithwicks.eventbrite.ie.
BARQ play music to dance dangerously to. In March 2016, they released their debut single, 'Gentle Kind of Lies', to critical acclaim and a surge of media attention. The track was picked up by Spotify’s new music playlist in both the UK and Brazil, and since then, BARQ have been one of the most talked about bands in Ireland.
Lead singer Jess Kav featured on the front cover of Ireland's premier music magazine, Hot Press, and BARQ were included in The Irish Times' '50 People to watch in 2017'.
Throughout the last 18 months the band have left audiences in awe with their energetic and dynamic live show. Last year, BARQ completed their first tour, with dates in the UK and Ireland, and travelled to Toronto for Canadian Music Week. Now, as part of the Smithwick's Soundtrack Series, BARQ recreate the soundtrack of Pulp Fiction in their own agrosoul style.
Without a doubt, BARQ have hit the ground running. Expect big things from this four-piece in the coming months. Find the band online at barqmusic.com.
