Man dies in farm tragedy

A MAN died this morning (Saturday) in a farm accident in Co. Mayo while saving hay.

The tragedy occurred at Clogher, Claremorris.

The victim, who was in his early 50s, was deceased on admission to Mayo University Hospital, 10 miles away.

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority have launched separate investigations into the circumstances of the tragedy.

The victim has not been named pending notification of relatives.
