Hobbit huts in Mayo attracting great social media interest
A FEATURE on the Mayo Glamping site at Keelogues, Castlebar, is trending on social media this evening.
The article, written by Melissa Carton for the 'Her Family' website, is giving the west Mayo business a big boost.
She wrote: “Anyone that knows me knows that I am a massive nerd!
“I love Star Trek, I love gadgets and of course, I love Lord of the Rings.
“There had been a plan in the works to travel to New Zealand and visit one of the Hobbit huts over there, little did I know that I could visit one only a couple of counties away!
"This post (by Mayo Glamping advertising availability of one of their hobbit huts this Friday night) appeared in my home feed last night and I can't contain my excitement.
“I love visiting Mayo and only came back from Achill on Monday, so any excuse to pop down is fine by me but this has to be the most amazing reason to head west.
“The huts look so super cosy and seeing as I'm barely five foot tall, I'd really be living my Hobbit fantasy.
“Not only do this huts come with all the mod cons you would need for a perfect summer vacation but they have bonus extras available, like a pizza oven and BBQ!
“Located near Ballyvary, in scenic county Mayo, Mayo glamping offers several different accommodation options.
“Prices start at €100 per cabin and include an outdoor play area for children and a hall for watching movies.
“Now if you'll excuse me I have to go tell the family that we're going on an adventure to Hobbiton for the summer!”
