Lahardane and Castlebar drug finds

SUSPECTED cannabis worth in the region of €22,000 was seized in garda raids on two houses in the Lahardane and Castlebar areas over the weekend.

The finds were made following surveillance operations.

It is believed that the Castlebar and Lahardane finds are connected.

The searches were carried out by the Mayo Divisional Drugs Unit on foot of a warrant.

A man in his 30s was held for questioning and later released.

A file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
