Mayo and Cork to meet in Croke Park Charity Challenge
THE 2018 Croke Park Charity Challenge was launched today and will see a Mayo team managed by Senator John O''Mahony and former Taoiseach Enda Kenny, taking on a Cork team managed by Rebels legend Billy Morgan and Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin.
The charity challenge takes place in Croke Park on October 23, with some legends of the game, as well as stars from other sports, coming together to raise funds for Self Help Africa.
The Mayo and Cork teams will comprise fans, players and members of the media, and companies or individuals can buy a place on a team for €3,000.
The event is being organised by former Galway hurling star Alan Kerins who says the proceeds will support Self Help Africa to continue with its life-changing work in rural Africa.
