Mayo gardaí warning over 'suspicious activity'

GARDAÍ in Mayo have issued a warning over what has been described as 'suspicious activity' in rural communities in the county.

It has been reported that suspected criminals have been turning up in vehicles at different townlands where they appear to be checking out properties.

A sighting of this nature was reported in the Snugboro area of Castlebar last night and residents have been urged to be on the alert and report any such activity immediately to their local garda station.
