Garda warning issued after spate of car break-ins in Mayo

A SPATE of weekend break-ins to vehicles in Mayo are being investigated by gardaí.

The incident occurred at Manulla, Westport and Charlestown.

Gardaí believe that all of the thefts may be connected to a single, highly mobile gang.

They have repeated their warnings to motorists not to leave valuables in cars but if they have to, keep them out of sight.

All vehicle owners are being asked to ensure they lock their vehicle no matter where it is parked.

Items taken include cash, laptops, tools, jewellery and sports equipment.
