Castlebar mourns death of much-loved personality
THE death has taken place of Loretta Kenny (née Dowling), Garryduff Court, Riverdale Court and Windsor, Castlebar.
Aged 85, she died unexpectedly at Galway University Hospital.
A native Mountmellick, Co. Laois, news of her passing has evoked an immense sense of loss and sorrow in the community.
Loretta was a friendly and good-natured personality whose life was centred around her family.
She is survived by her sons Sean, Michael, Denis, Anthony, Paraic and Jarlath, daughters Helen, Catherine, Loretta, Margaret, Geraldine and Marian, brother Leo, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.
She was predeceased by her husband, John, some years ago.
Her remains will be reposing at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, tomorrow (Friday) evening from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, arriving at 7.30.
Requiem Mass for the repose of her gentle soul takes place on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
