Body of missing Mayo person is found

GARDAÌ in Mayo have confirmed they have found the body of a person who had been missing in the Ballycroy area of the county.

They were assisted in the search today by Achill Island Coast Guard and the Sligo-based Irish Coast Guard helicopter, R118.

The body has been removed to Mayo University Hospital for post-mortem examination.
