Driving test waiting time target not being met in Mayo
THE driving test waiting time target is not being met in Mayo.
The Road Safety Authority has set a 10-week limit from when applicants book the test to undergoing it.
However the test centres in Ballina and Castlebar are not meeting this objective, the wait in Ballina being 11.3 weeks and in Castlebar it is 12.5 weeks.
Those figures are still much better than the Cliften centre in Co. Galway where the waiting is over 19 weeks.
Mayo TD Dara Calleary has tabled a parliamentary question on the issue.
