Towns working together to promote Mayo as Christmas family destination

The towns of Castlebar and Westport are working together to promote Mayo as Ireland's best family Christmas destination.

The two towns will be full of holly jolly magic and yuletide cheer.

Westport House’s Winter Wonderland is going ahead as it Mayo On Ice in Castlebar.

Winter Wonderland at Westport House is an authentic, old fashioned Christmas experience for all the family to share. It opens November 24 and runs to December 23.

The location will also been transformed into a Classic Drive-In Movie venue from November 30 to December 30. 

Mayo On Ice, Connaught’s largest ice rink this Christmas, will be located in the beautiful setting of The Mall in Castlebar and will run from November 30 to January 4.

Castlebar is also being promoted as a shopper’s heaven, with dozens of great, local family-run shops as well as the big high street names.

Westport House has teamed up with Hotel Westport, Mayo On Ice and Breaffy House Resort to run a competition for a fabulous family break to Mayo.
