Gardaì investigating robbery at Mayo church

GARDAÌ are investigating a robbery at a church in west Mayo.

Thieves broke into St. Patrick's Church in Newport and took a sum of cash as well as other valuables.

The break-in has caused great annoyance in the local community which recently celebrated the church's centenary.

Gardaì in Westport are appealing for information.
