Death of member of old and respected Castlebar family

THE death has taken place of Ellen (Nellie) Dunne (née Flynn), St. Bridget's Crescent, Castlebar.

A native of McHale Road, she was a member of an old and respected Castlebar family and was held in very high regard by her neighbours and friends.

In her late 80s, she was a regular bingo player and was very popular among her fellow players.

Predeceased by her husband, Michael, she is deeply regretted by her sons Alan and Ivan, daughters Josie, Carol, Michelle, Shirley, Angela and Samantha, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is extended.

Her remains will be reposing at the Coady Funeral Home, Linenhall Street, Castlebar, on Friday evening from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Funeral Mass takes place on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
