Charlestown crowned Under 21 B champions

CHARLESTOWN were crowned Mayo Under 21 B champions following their 12-point victory over Ardnaree in the final played in the Centre of Excellence in Bekan tonight.

After a fairly even opening first half Charlestown held just a three-point lead at the interval, 0-9 to 1-3.

However, after the break, the east Mayo side really turned on the style and outscored their opponents by 2-8 to 1-2 to run out convincing winners.

It was a magnificent performance by Charlestown with every member of the team playing their part in a great victory.

Final score: Charlestown 2-17, Ardnaree 2-5
