Mayo GAA stars bring Christmas cheer to Castlebar

WELL done to members of the Mayo senior football squad for bringing such Christmas cheer to the streets of Castlebar today.

Led by manager James Horan, they sang carols with the choir, Còr Mhaigh Eo, outside the store of Elverys Intersport at Main Street.

The festive event drew a big crowd on one of the busiest shopping days of the year and a tidy sum was raised for the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.

The players in attendance included Lee Keegan, Tom Parsons, Colm Boyle. Donal Vaughan, Andy Moran and Robert Hennelly.

They were joined by the cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council, Councillor Blackie Gavin.
