Mayo gardaì issue warning over counterfeit €20 notes scam

Gardai in Mayo have issued an alert tonight over a €20 counterfeit notes scam.

Two fraudsters are reported to be travelling the county in a Renault Megan and seeking to exchange these notes for other cash at busy retail outlets.

Retailers are urged to be vigilant during the Christmas rush and anything of a suspicious nature should be reported to the gardaì immediately.
