Cannabis seizure made during vehicle search in Mayo

GARDAÍ in Mayo have seized a significant quality of cannabis during a vehicle search in Ballina.

The discovery was made when a car was stopped in the town by officers.

A woman was arrested at the scene on Saturday before being brought to the local garda station for questioning.

A file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions in respect of the find.
