Mayo farmer dies in tragic accident

A MAYO farmer has lost his life in a tragic accident today.

He died after part of the roof of a shed he was demolishing fell on him.

The tragedy occurred this afternoon in a townland near Ballindine.

The remains of the middle-aged victim, a married man with a family, have been removed to Mayo University Hospital for a post-mortem tomorrow.

Both the gardaì and the Health and Safety Authority have commenced investigations into the accident.
