New information on Breaffy hit and run

AS a 14-year-old girl from the Breaffy area of Castlebar continues to recover from injuries sustained in a hit and run incident on Monday night, gardaí have renewed their appeal for the motorist involved to come forward.

The latest information issued by gardaí is that the driver of the dark coloured car was male, wore a beard and was aged in his fifties or sixties.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was hospitalised when struck by a vehicle at Cottage Road, Breaffy, at around 8.30 p.m. on Monday.

Cottage Road links Breaffy with the village of Belcarra.
