Marie is new head of Castlebar Municipal District
FORMER Castlebar town clerk Marie Crowley has returned to the county town in a new role.
The Westport native has been appointed senior executive officer over Castlebar Municpal District, having taken over from John McHale who was acting in that position.
Ms. Crowley previously served as senior executive officer of Ballina Municipal District.
Declan Turnbull has now taken over her position in Ballina.
Councillor Michael Kilcoyne, cathaoirleach, welcomed Ms. Crowley's appointment.
The councillor acknowledged all the hard work Ms. Crowley's predecessor, John McHale, had given to his role.
John Condon, director of services, also welcomed Ms. Crowley and noted that John McHale had done an excellent job.
