Man arrested after Mayo stabbing incident

A MAN has been arrested by gardai in Mayo following a stabbing incident.

The attack, in which a man in his 30s sustained serious injuries, occurred in the townland of Carrowkelly, Ballina.

The injured man has been treated for his injuries at Mayo University Hospital.

The arrest of a man in his 50s was made by gardaì in Ballina and investigations are ongoing into the incident which took place yesterday at a house.
