31 patients on trolleys today at Mayo University Hospital
A TOTAL of 31 patients are being accommodated on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital today.
The figure is the highest for a hospital in the region, the next highest being Sligo University Hospital with 18.
The situation further underlines the ongoing problem of overcrowding at the Castlebar facility where frontline staff shortages remain a major issue ahead of the planned IMNO strike on January 30.
