Mayo have made it back-to-back wins in the Allianz National Football League today.
They outclassed Tyrone by nine points with a vintage display in Omagh to register their best start to the campaign in seven years.
The visitors put down an early marker and led by 1-7 to 0-3 at the interval, the goal coming from the boot of Keith Higgins on the half hour mark.
Ciaran Treacy got two points on his debut during the half while there were two points each from Fionn McDonagh and Andy Moran.
Mayo maintained the high tempo and intensity in the second half, early points by Jason Doherty and McDonagh stretching the side's lead.
Their efforts were further rewarded in the 58th minute when McDonagh executed Mayo's second goal with his left boot, the Westport ace being set up by Aiden O'Shea.
A very positive display by Mayo and a big crowd expected for next Saturday evening's match against Cavan in Castlebar after joining Kerry at the top of the table.
