Mayo woman dies in traffic accident in Australia

REPORTS are emerging tonight of the tragic death of a young Mayo woman in a traffic accident in Australia earlier today.

It is understood the 23-year-old victim was travelling in a vehicle with a number of other people when the fatal collision occurred in the Melbourne area.

The emergency services were called to the scene and she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
