Planned escalation of nurses strike in Mayo is suspended

THE three consecutive days of strike action planned by members of the INMO in Mayo from tomorrow have been suspended.

The action is deferred while the union considers a Labour Court recommendation to resolve the dispute.

Planned industrial action in the county by members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association has also been suspended.

Members of the two unions will consider the Labour Court recommendation over the coming days.

Health Minister Simon Harris has welcomed the development.
