Regan ruled out of Dublin clash as O'Shea returns
KEY Mayo forward Evan Regan is ruled out of his side's Allianz National League clash against Dublin at Croke Park on Saturday.
It has been confirmed that he is still suffering the effects of a shoulder injury picked up in the last round against Cavan, a match in which he scored 1-2.
The Ballina Stephenites ace is making progress but could be out of action for another two weeks, making him a doubt for Mayo's game against Galway in Castlebar on March 2.
It's a big blow for the table-topping squad at a time when Regan is in good scoring form.
However, manager James Horan will not be short of options in attack with Kevin McLoughlin tipped to get his first 2019 league start and newcomers Fionn McDonagh, Conor Diskin, Ciaràn Treacy and Brian Reape enjoying impressive campaigns to date.
Horan is also boosted by the return of Breaffy midfielder Seamus O'Shea for the Croke Park assignment.
