Horan names O'Connor as new Mayo captain

MAYO manager James Horan has named Diarmuid O'Connor as his team captain for the 2019 season.

It's a huge honour for the talented Ballintubber ace who has twice won the GAA Young Player of the Year accolade.

O'Connor made his Mayo debut against New York in the Connacht SFC in 2014.

His vice-captain is Castlebar Mitchels star Patrick Durcan.
