East Mayo GAA club mourns passing of loyal servant

THE death of Tom Freeman (better known as black Tom), Tubber, Aghamore, Ballyhaunis, has evoked feelings of tremendous loss and sorrow across Mayo GAA circles.

Paying tribute to him, Aghamore GAA Club said he was much loved by everyone in the club and the wider GAA community.

"He was the pillar of our club, a loyal servant and supporter who will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace," the tribute added.

The club tendered deepest sympathy to Tom's wife Ann, sons Paul, Alan and Niall.

He is also survived by his brothers Joe and Brendan, grandchildren Cian and Odhran, daughter-in-law Roisin, also Jessica and Jenny, partners of Alan and Niall, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

His remains willl be reposing at the Marian Funeral Home, Knock, on Wednesday evening from 6 o'clock with removal at 8 o'clock to St. Joseph's Church, Aghamore.

Funeral Mass takes place on Thursday at 12 o'clock with burial afterwards in local cemetery.
