Power outages in Mayo due to Storm Gareth

STORM Gareth is causing power outages across Mayo.

ESB Networks are dealing with faults in Bangor Erris, Geesala, Ballycastle, Swinford, Cong and Crossmolina.

They have already repaired a fault in the Knockaphunta area of Castlebar which affected 1,250 customers.

There are expected to be further outages as the storm sweeps Mayo tonight.

Several clubs and organisations have cancelled events scheduled for tonight in the interest of health and safety.
