School launch cow pie bingo fundraiser
A NOVEL cow pie bingo fundraiser is being hosted by a school in north Mayo, with a top prize of a trip to Old Trafford up for grabs.
On Sunday, May 12, Barnatra National School, Belmullet, will be fencing off and dividing their football pitch into multiple squares.
The organisers will then be letting their friendly cows loose on the squares where you can wait and watch for that pie to land on your square. Whichever square it lands on, the owner of that square wins.
The school will also be hosting a family fun day, so it promises to be a great day out.
Squares are on sale now, and the number of squares on the day will depend on the numbers sold.
A map of the squares will be displayed on the day of the event showing you where your square(s) are located.
To be fair to everyone, you can't pick which squares you want - they will be randomly assigned.
There are a number of options for buying squares, which can only be bought online. To make your purchase or for further information, see the cowpiebingo.com website or their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Barnatra-National-School-Cow-Pie-Bingo-213634359529446/posts/?ref=page_internal).
Top prize is a trip for two to Old Trafford, with a VIP chauffeur collection service at Manchester Airport, accommodation for two nights, Manchester United jerseys and tickets to a match.
Other prizes include a trip for a family of five to Funtasia Waterpark in Drogheda, plus overnight accommodation, a trip for a family of five to Dublin Zoo, again with overnight accommodation, and some Ireland rugby tickets.
