Mayo gardaì investigating theft of heating oil from homes

GARDAÌ are investigating concerns that home heating oil is being stolen from properties in the Lahardane area.

Two incidents are reported to have occurred in the village in recent days.

House owners have been advised about the situation.

The Bofeenaun and Lahardane Community Alert has also warned of two men travelling around the area, pulling up outside houses and leaving immediately if residents are at home.

Their behaviour is described as 'strange and suspicious'.
