Passing of Castlebar man in Dublin

THE death has occurred of Celsus MacDonnell, Carrickmines, Co. Dublin, and formerly of Blackfort, Castlebar.

In his 91st year, he was predeceased by his wife Pat.

Celsus is survived by his daughters Susan, Deirdre, Helen, Anne, Orla and Aisling, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

The MacDonnell is remembered fondly in Castlebar. Celsus' late father, Tossie, was employed as member of the administration staff of Mayo County Council.

A brother of the deceased, Colum, published a book entited 'Blackfort to Bosnia' a number of years ago.

Requiem Mass takes place on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, followed by burial in Rathnew Cemetery, Co. Wicklow.
