Castlebar mourns passing of popular Moneen resident
THE death has occurred of Margaret (Peggy) Gray, Moneen Cottages, Castlebar.
Aged 79, news of her passing has evoked a sense of genuine sorrow and loss in the community in which she was held in high regard.
Predeceased by her husband Mel, she is survived by her sons Michael and Peter, daughters Geraldine McHugh, Margaret Ludden, Sharon, Siobhan and Tina, brothers Austin Gannon and John (Leeds), grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.
Peggy was also predeceased by her son Tony, daughter Mary, and sisters Pauline Murphy and Bridie Casey (UK).
Her remains will be reposing at Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Requiem Mass for the repose of her soul takes place in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, on Monday at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
