New €100 and €200 notes have gone into circulation in Mayo

THE new €100 and €200 bank notes have gone into circulation in Mayo today.

The notes have new and innovatiive security features and are, according to the Central Bank, easy to check using the 'feel, look and tilt method'.

They also have an enhanced emerald number and are the same height as the €50.

The old €100 and €200 notes will be gradually withdrawn.
