Passing of young Castlebar man is widely mourned

THE death has taken place of Gary Fitzgerald, College View, Westport Road, Castlebar.

A member of a popular and widely respected local family, his passing has cast a shadow of sadness and grief over the town.

The deceased,  in his late 20s, was held in high regard in the community.

He is survived by his parents Michael and Pauline, brother David, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

His remains will be reposing at Coady's Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Burial takes place in the New Cemetery on Monday after Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul at 11 a.m.
