Passing of popular Castlebar woman, Carmel McSharry

The death has occurred of Carmel McSharry (née English), Rathbawn Road, Castlebar, and formerly of Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim.

A popular and respected personality, she was predeceased by her husband, James, over a year ago.

Carmel is survived by her sons Anthony, Jarlath, John, Eamon and Fergal, to whom sympathy is tendered.

She was sister of Rita. UK, Evelyn, Dublin, and the late Clare, Robert, Michael and James.

The deceased is also mourned by her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at her home on Monday evening from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, arriving at 7.30 p.m.

Funeral Mass takes place on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with burial afterwards in Castlebar New Cemetery.
