Mayo hospital addressing operational hitch

THE schedule for surgical procedures at Mayo University Hospital is expected to return to normal later this week.

The centre is addressing a problem with a facility used to sterilise surgical intruments, a hitch that has resulted in a number of operations being postponed.

Work is taking place to repair the facility as a matter of urgency.
