Two Mayo takeaways win Best Burger award

BURGER enthusiasts don’t have to stray too far from home to get their hands on a juicy award-winning burger.

Kepak, sponsors of National Burger Day, have announced two Mayo takeaways as Connaught winners if national Best Burger awards.

Cafolla’s in Castlebar won the Best Burger at an Independent Takeaway award, while Blue Thunder in Claremorris won Best Burger at an Independent Chain in Connaught.

Today (Thursday) is National Burger Day, with hundreds of participating outlets across the country (including here in Mayo) offering a special 2 for 1 deal on their signature burgers in celebration of National Burger Day.
