Castlebar business community to meet with Superintendent

THE business community in Castlebar are to meet the town's new superintendent.

Superintendent Kevin Gately has recently taken over from Supt. Joe McKenna, who is now based in Westport.

One of the key issues business people will be anxious to discuss with the new Supt. will be incidences of anti-social behaviour in the town.

The informal gathering is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 15, between 2 and 4 p.m. upstairs at Bridge St. It is being spread out over two hours to allow everyone a chance to attend and discuss any concerns or issues they have.

The business community have acknowledged the hard work of gardaí on the beat to deal with their concerns but feel they need more input from the decision makers.
