Lee Keegan lined up for man-marking job in Killarney

WHEN Mayo manager James Horan and his selectors finally decide their starting 15 for Sunday's Super 8s clash with Kerry in Killarney next Sunday, it is likely Lee Keegan will be given the man-marking job on Kerry's ace centre forward Sean O'Shea.

When the two sides met in the National League final at the end of March, Keegan was sent out to put a halt to O'Shea's gallop.

That is exactly what Keegan did as he curtailed O'Shea's influence on the game to the bare minimum.

However, O'Shea is not the only danger man Kerry will have up front for this major clash with Mayo, their third of the year (two National League games where Mayo won both).

It will come as no surprise if Kerry start with a full forward line of David Clifford, Paul Geaney and James O'Donoghue.

Any one of these three players would get a starting place on most other county teams and each one of them could be a match-winner on any given day.

While both teams are expected to name 'official' teams tomorrow or Saturday, I expect we won't know what their real starting teams until shortly before the 4 p.m. starting time next Sunday.
