Harley is bidding to become the Nose of Tralee
MEET Harley. He's in the running to be crowned the Nose of Tralee.
From Castlebar, Harley has been selected as the Mayo Nose and he's looking for your vote. Voting opens tomorrow (Tuesday) on the Petsitters Ireland website so log on and give him a vote.
Harley is a drama queen who loves to be in the spotlight at all times. He rules the roost and puts a smile on his owners faces everyday.
A dog with personality, his favourite seat is whichever one you're sitting in and he's always on the hunt for random socks left lying around the house.
Not only is dog food not good enough for Harley but he insist that chicken pieces be put in his bowl or he goes on hunger strike. He loves lazily sleeping in the sun and going for walks, but not for too long or else he grabs his lead and walks himself home.
True to his Cavalier King Charles roots he believes he should sleep in every bed in the house which he regards as his own personal throne - all he's missing is the crown.
Over 1,000 pets entered the competition with 32 Noses selected to represent their county, and a public vote will now decide between 29 dogs and three cats who will take the title of 2019 Nose of Tralee.
The public vote will open on August 6th and the winner will be announced live on Facebook and Instagram on August 27th – the same night as the finals of the Rose of Tralee.
