World Cup angling competition cancelled this morning
TODAY'S world cup brown trout angling competition on Lough Mask has been cancelled.
The decision to cancel the event was taken due to high winds.
It has been postponed until August 17.
Some 112 fishermen were due to head out from Cushlough around now for the final day of the competition on Lough Mask.
However, after a small craft warning was issued a decision was taken to cancel the competition in the interests of safety, with people fishing in gusty conditions on the open lake.
