Funeral of Mayo man who died tragically in London
THE funeral arrangements have been announced of Mayo man Mark Gibbons who has died tragically in London.
His passing, at the age of 30 following a freak accident, has cast a shadow of deep sadness and regret across west Mayo.
He is mourned by his parents Gerry and Ita Gibbons (nèe Colleran), sister Amy, grandmother Joan, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends, to whom heartfelt sympathy is tendered.
The deceased, born in Castlebar, spent much of his life in London and he was a regular visitor to family members in Partry and Castlebar.
Based at Cheshunt, London, he ran his own business and was widely respected in the city's building sector.
His remains will be reposing at the Coady Funeral Home, Linenhall Street, Castlebar, on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. before removal to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
Requiem Mass takes place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
